1996-D Washington Quarter BU
The 1996 Washington quarter from the Denver Mint represents a classic era of modern United States circulating coinage. Struck with a brilliant uncirculated finish, this twenty five cent piece showcases a copper and nickel outer layer bonded to a core of pure copper. The Denver Mint's presence is noted by the small "D" mint mark on the obverse side. On the obverse, the profile of George Washington faces left, a design created by John Flanagan. This side also features the national motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" alongside the 1996 date. The reverse side displays a powerful heraldic eagle. The bird is depicted holding a bundle of arrows and an olive branch, symbolizing both strength and peace. Above the eagle, the traditional Latin motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM" is inscribed, while the legends "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "QUARTER DOLLAR" frame the entire design.
