Dating back to the era of 336 to 323 BC, this ancient silver drachm originates from the historic region of Macedon. The coin represents the legendary reign of Alexander III, commonly known as Alexander the Great. Crafted from silver with a weight of approximately 0.1400 troy ounces, this piece of ancient currency has survived the centuries in remarkable Almost Uncirculated condition. The obverse side of the coin displays a detailed right-facing bust of Heracles, the mythical hero, draped in his signature lion skin. On the reverse, the supreme deity Zeus is depicted sitting on a throne facing left, holding both a scepter and an eagle. A distinct control mark showing a filleted palm frond is visible in the left field of the reverse design. To the right of the seated figure of Zeus, the Greek inscription "ALEXANDROY" is clearly struck. This specimen has been professionally graded as Almost Uncirculated, reflecting its exceptional state of preservation.
