The early years of United States coinage produced some of the nation's most enduring and tactile designs, including the 1821 Capped Bust Dime. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this silver piece represents a fascinating era of early American currency. It contains 0.0715 troy ounces of silver, composed of a historic 0.8924 fine silver alloy, and is preserved in Very Good condition. The obverse features a classic depiction of Liberty facing left, wearing a Phrygian cap inscribed with the word LIBERTY.
