In 1840, the Philadelphia Mint struck a limited run of just 61,005 silver dollars featuring the elegant Liberty Seated design. These early silver coins represent a fascinating era of American coinage, minted without a mint mark. This particular specimen has survived the generations in remarkable condition, certified by professional graders at About Uncirculated 50 (AU-50).
