The 1845 Liberty Seated dime represents a classic era of United States silver coinage. Struck in 90 percent silver with a weight containing 0.0715 troy ounces of precious metal, this ten cent piece displays the detailed artistry of the mid nineteenth century. This particular coin survives in Extra Fine condition, preserving the fine details of its historical engraving. On the obverse side, the design showcases Lady Liberty in a seated position. She holds a staff topped with a Phrygian cap in one hand while resting her other hand upon a shield. The year 1845 is clearly struck below her feet. The reverse side features a simple yet elegant wreath that circles the denomination, which is written out as ONE DIME.
