1856 Liberty Seated Half Dime XF

In the mid nineteenth century, the United States Mint produced a tiny silver treasure known as the half dime. This 1856 issue, struck in 90 percent silver at the Philadelphia Mint, represents a fascinating era of American coinage when five-cent pieces were made of precious metal rather than the nickel alloy we use today.
