The year 1882 saw the production of this ten cent piece, a classic representation of United States coinage from the pre-1933 era. Struck in 90 percent silver at the Philadelphia Mint, this dime carries a metal content of 0.0715 troy ounces. It represents a long-running design family that defined American circulating currency throughout much of the nineteenth century. On the obverse, the figure of Lady Liberty is depicted in a seated position.
