The year 1891 marked the final chapter for one of the most enduring designs in United States coinage. This silver dime, struck with a purity of 90 percent silver, represents the culmination of the Liberty Seated series. Containing 0.0715 troy ounces of precious metal, the ten-cent piece showcases the artistry of Christian Gobrecht, whose work defined American circulating coinage for over half a century.
