Struck in the final decade of the nineteenth century, this 1893 silver half dollar represents a classic era of American coinage. Minted at the historic New Orleans facility, denoted by the O mint mark, the coin is composed of 90 percent silver, containing 0.3575 troy ounces of the precious metal.
