1895-O Barber Dime AG-03 NGC

0.0715 troy oz .900 1895 NGC

The 1895-O Barber dime represents a highly sought-after moment in American numismatic history. Minted at the historic New Orleans facility, this ten-cent piece is crafted from 90 percent silver, containing 0.0715 troy ounces of the precious metal. What makes this particular issue stand out to researchers and enthusiasts is its exceptionally low production run, with only 440,000 of these coins ever struck. Designed by Charles Barber, the obverse of the coin presents a dignified profile of Lady Liberty. She is depicted wearing a traditional laurel wreath and a Phrygian cap, surrounded by the stars and the year of issue, 1895. The reverse side features a detailed agricultural wreath that gracefully encircles the face value of the coin, which is inscribed simply as ONE DIME.
