Struck at the historic New Orleans Mint, this 1899 silver dime belongs to the beloved Barber series. Despite its journey through commerce, this coin retains its essential design details, certified in Very Good condition. The metal composition consists of 90 percent silver, containing approximately 0.0715 troy ounces of precious metal. The obverse displays Charles Barber's classic depiction of Lady Liberty, who wears a laurel wreath and a Phrygian cap. On coins of this grade, a portion of the word "Liberty" remains visible on her headband. The reverse side features a traditional agricultural wreath that frames the face value of the coin, designated as "ONE DIME."
