1900 Barber Dime Fine

0.0715 troy oz .900 1900 Fine

Dating back to the turn of the twentieth century, this 1900 silver dime represents a classic era of United States coinage. Struck in 90 percent pure silver at the Philadelphia Mint, the coin contains 0.0715 troy ounces of precious metal. It belongs to the celebrated Barber series, named after its creator, Charles Barber. The obverse design showcases a dignified profile of Lady Liberty. She wears a traditional Phrygian cap adorned with a laurel wreath. In this Fine grade, the crucial inscription "Liberty" remains clearly visible on her headband, surrounded by the words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and the year "1900" at the bottom. On the reverse, the coin features its face value, "ONE DIME", boldly centered. This denomination is encircled by a detailed, lush wreath, which is a signature element of this iconic turn-of-the-century ten-cent piece.
