0.0715 troy oz .900 1900 Extra Fine

Struck in the final year of the nineteenth century, this ten-cent silver piece showcases a classic era of American coinage. The coin is composed of 90 percent silver, containing approximately 0.0715 troy ounces of the precious metal. Minted in Philadelphia, this particular specimen survives in Extra Fine condition, displaying a level of preservation that allows its intricate details to remain remarkably clear. The obverse side presents a dignified profile of Lady Liberty. She is depicted wearing a traditional Phrygian cap adorned with a laurel wreath. Across her headband, the word "LIBERTY" is clearly inscribed. Surrounding her portrait are the words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" along with the 1900 date of manufacture. On the reverse, the coin features a detailed agricultural wreath that encircles the face value, which is spelled out as "ONE DIME". This side is especially notable for its strong, well-defined rim, which frames the central design elements beautifully and has helped protect the delicate details of the wreath through the decades.
