0.0715 troy oz .900 1900 Almost Unc

This silver ten-cent piece from 1900 represents a classic era of United States coinage. Struck at the San Francisco Mint, as indicated by the small S mint mark on the reverse, the coin is composed of 90 percent silver, containing 0.0715 troy ounces of the precious metal. Surviving in Almost Uncirculated condition, it retains much of the original detail that left the minting press over a century ago. The obverse showcases Charles Barber's depiction of Lady Liberty, who faces right while wearing a traditional Phrygian cap and a laurel wreath. The word LIBERTY is visible on her headband, surrounded by the country of issue and the year 1900. On the reverse, a lush wreath frames the denomination, ONE DIME, creating a balanced and elegant design that defined turn of the century American pocket change.
