1900-S Barber Half Dollar VG

0.3575 troy oz .900 1900 Very Good

Minted in San Francisco at the turn of the twentieth century, this 1900 silver half dollar showcases the distinct artistry of Charles Barber. The obverse features a proud depiction of Lady Liberty, who wears a laurel wreath atop a Phrygian cap, with the word Liberty clearly visible on her crown. This classic representation of American coinage is struck in 90 percent silver, containing approximately 0.3617 troy ounces of precious metal. The reverse side of the coin displays a heraldic eagle with its wings fully spread. In its beak, the eagle supports a flowing banner, while its talons firmly grasp both an olive branch and a bundle of arrows, symbolizing peace and readiness. This particular specimen has survived in Very Good condition, retaining a complete, unbroken rim on both the front and back faces, which beautifully frames the historic imagery.
