This 1900 silver quarter, struck at the San Francisco Mint, represents a classic era of American coinage. Composed of 90 percent silver, it contains approximately 0.1788 troy ounces of precious metal. Having circulated heavily through daily commerce, the coin is preserved in Almost Good condition, showing the honest wear of its journey through time. The obverse features a profile of Lady Liberty, styled by designer Charles Barber. She wears a traditional Phrygian cap underneath a classical laurel wreath. Above her head, the national motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" remains a prominent feature, while the year 1900 is anchored at the bottom. On the reverse, a heraldic eagle stretches its wings wide, protecting a shield on its chest. The eagle grasps a banner in its beak, while its talons hold an olive branch of peace alongside a cluster of arrows, symbolizing strength and defense.
