1902 Barber Quarter Good/VG
Struck in 1802, this United States twenty-five cent piece is a classic representative of early twentieth-century American coinage. Composed of 90 percent silver, the coin contains approximately 0.17875 troy ounces of precious metal. It represents the Barber series, named after its creator, Charles Barber, who designed both sides of this circulating currency. The front of the coin displays a profile of Lady Liberty. She is depicted wearing a traditional Phrygian cap adorned with a laurel wreath, a classic symbol of victory and honor. Above her head, the timeless motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" is clearly inscribed, while the year 1902 is anchored at the bottom. On the reverse side, a powerful heraldic eagle commands attention. The bird is depicted with its wings spread wide, protecting a shield positioned over its chest. In its beak, the eagle holds a flowing banner, while its talons grasp an olive branch of peace and a cluster of arrows, symbolizing strength. The surrounding inscription identifies the issuing nation as the United States of America alongside the denomination of one quarter dollar.
