This silver ten-cent piece from 1903 offers a fascinating window into early twentieth-century American coinage. Minted in Philadelphia, the coin is composed of 90 percent silver, containing approximately 0.0715 troy ounces of the precious metal. Surviving in Almost Uncirculated condition, it retains much of the original detail envisioned by its creator, Charles Barber. The obverse of the dime presents a classic depiction of Lady Liberty. She is shown facing right, adorned with a traditional Phrygian cap and a laurel wreath. A tiny, subtle inscription of the word "LIBERTY" is nestled within her hairband, while the surrounding legend reads "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" alongside the 1903 year of issue. On the reverse, the coin features a simple yet elegant design. A lush agricultural wreath frames the central denomination, which is clearly inscribed as "ONE DIME."
