1903-O Barber Quarter Good

0.1788 troy oz .900 1903 Good

Struck in the early years of the twentieth century, this 1903 silver quarter represents a classic era of United States coinage. Minted at the historic New Orleans facility, as indicated by the O mint mark, the coin is composed of 90 percent silver, containing approximately 0.1788 troy ounces of the precious metal. The obverse displays a profile of Lady Liberty, who wears a laurel wreath atop her head and a traditional Phrygian cap. The motto IN GOD WE TRUST is positioned above her, with the year 1903 inscribed below. On the reverse, a heraldic eagle is depicted with its wings spread wide. A protective shield covers the eagle's chest, while its talons grasp an olive branch and a bundle of arrows. In its beak, the eagle holds a banner displaying the motto E PLURIBUS UNUM, surrounded by the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and QUARTER DOLLAR.
