1905 Barber Quarter AG
The 1905 Barber Quarter represents a fascinating era of United States coinage, minted in Philadelphia over a century ago. This silver twenty-five cent piece contains 0.17875 troy ounces of silver with a purity of 0.900. Having survived decades of circulation, this coin is graded in Almost Good condition, showing the honest wear of its journey through American history. Designed by Charles Barber, the obverse features a classic representation of Lady Liberty facing right, adorned with a laurel wreath and a Phrygian cap. Above her head, the timeless motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" is inscribed, while the year 1905 is anchored at the bottom. The reverse displays a heraldic eagle with wings spread wide, grasping an olive branch of peace in one claw and a bundle of arrows in the other. In its beak, the eagle holds a banner, completing a powerful national symbol that defined late nineteenth and early twentieth-century American currency.
