1906 Barber Dime BU

The year 1906 marked a quiet moment of artistic consistency in American coinage, captured beautifully in this ten cent piece. Struck in 90 percent silver, this dime represents a classic era of United States currency design. The coin contains approximately 0.0715 troy ounces of precious metal, offering a tactile connection to the turn of the twentieth century. Designed by Charles Barber, the obverse of the coin presents a dignified profile of Lady Liberty. She is depicted wearing a traditional laurel wreath over a Phrygian cap, a symbol of freedom that was highly favored in classical imagery. The word LIBERTY is clearly visible on her headband, flanked by the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the 1906 date at the bottom. The reverse of the coin shifts focus to a delicate, detailed wreath that frames the denomination. The words ONE DIME are positioned boldly in the center, surrounded by the agricultural wreath design.
