1906 Barber Dime VF

The year 1906 saw the production of a classic American ten-cent piece, now preserved in Very Fine condition. Struck in 90 percent silver, this Barber dime contains 0.0715 troy ounces of precious metal. It represents a bygone era of United States coinage, carrying the distinct artistry of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Designed by Charles Barber, the obverse of the coin presents a dignified profile of Lady Liberty. She wears a traditional Phrygian cap adorned with a laurel wreath, a powerful symbol of freedom and victory. The inscription "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" arches over her portrait, with the year 1906 anchored at the bottom. On the reverse, the coin features a simple yet elegant design where a lush wreath frames the denomination "ONE DIME". This particular coin was struck at the Philadelphia Mint, which did not use a mint mark at the time. Its survival in Very Fine condition allows us to appreciate the fine details of the wreath and Liberty's portrait over a century after it first entered circulation.
