1906 Barber Dime XF

The year 1906 saw the production of this ten cent piece, a classic example of United States coinage from the pre-1933 era. Struck in 90% fine silver, this dime contains approximately 0.0715 troy ounces of precious metal. It represents a time when silver circulated daily in the pockets of Americans, serving as a workhorse denomination for everyday transactions. Designed by Charles Barber, the obverse of the coin presents a profile of Lady Liberty. She is depicted wearing a laurel wreath over a Phrygian cap, a traditional symbol of freedom. Surrounding her portrait is the inscription UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, with the date 1906 positioned clearly at the bottom. The reverse of the coin focuses on simplicity and clarity. A detailed wreath wraps around the center of the design, framing the face value of ONE DIME. This particular specimen survives in Extra Fine condition, showcasing well-preserved details from more than a century ago.
