1906-D Barber Dime Good/VG

0.0715 troy oz .900 1906 Good/Very Good

Struck at the Denver Mint in 1906, this Barber dime represents a classic era of United States coinage. Crafted from 90 percent silver, the coin contains 0.0715 troy ounces of precious metal. It features the artistry of Charles Barber, whose designs defined American pocket change at the turn of the twentieth century. The obverse displays a profile of Lady Liberty wearing a traditional Phrygian cap and a laurel wreath. In this Good to Very Good condition, the passage of time has softened the details, meaning the word Liberty is no longer visible on her headband, though the surrounding rim remains mostly complete. The legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the date 1906 frame her portrait. On the reverse, a lush agricultural wreath encircles the denomination, which is declared simply as ONE DIME. A small D mint mark sits below the wreath, identifying this piece as a product of the Denver facility. The rim on this side may appear slightly weak, a characteristic testament to its long journey through daily circulation.
