1906-D Barber Quarter Good/VG

0.1788 troy oz .900 1906 Good/Very Good

Struck in 90 percent pure silver at the Denver Mint, this 1906 quarter represents a classic era of United States coinage. Designed by Charles Barber, the coin features a dignified portrait of Lady Liberty on its obverse. She is depicted wearing a laurel wreath and a Phrygian cap, a traditional symbol of freedom. The motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" is inscribed above her head, with the year 1906 positioned at the bottom. The reverse of the coin showcases a heraldic eagle with its wings fully spread. A protective shield covers the bird's chest, while its beak holds a decorative banner. In its talons, the eagle grasps both an olive branch and a bundle of arrows, representing the dual ideals of peace and strength. The inscription "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" arches over the design, with the "QUARTER DOLLAR" denomination anchored below. This specific piece survives in Good to Very Good condition, showing honest wear from its time in circulation.
