Struck in 90 percent pure silver at the Denver Mint, this 1906 quarter represents a classic era of United States coinage. Designed by Charles Barber, the coin features a dignified portrait of Lady Liberty on its obverse. She is depicted wearing a laurel wreath and a Phrygian cap, a traditional symbol of freedom. The motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" is inscribed above her head, with the year 1906 positioned at the bottom. The reverse of the coin showcases a heraldic eagle with its wings fully spread. A protective shield covers the bird's chest, while its beak holds a decorative banner. In its talons, the eagle grasps both an olive branch and a bundle of arrows, representing the dual ideals of peace and strength. The inscription "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" arches over the design, with the "QUARTER DOLLAR" denomination anchored below.
