Struck in 90% silver, this 1907 quarter dollar represents a classic era of American coinage. The coin contains 0.17875 troy ounces of precious metal and displays the artistry of Charles Barber, whose vision defined United States silver currency at the turn of the twentieth century. This particular specimen survives in an impressive Almost Uncirculated condition, preserving the fine details of its original engraving. The obverse presents a profile of Lady Liberty. She wears a Phrygian cap adorned with a laurel wreath, a traditional symbol of victory and honor. Above her head, the national motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" is clearly inscribed, while the year 1907 is anchored at the bottom. On the reverse, a powerful heraldic eagle dominates the design. The bird is depicted with outstretched wings, shielding its chest with a striped crest. In its beak, the eagle holds a banner displaying the Latin phrase "E PLURIBUS UNUM".
