The 1907 Barber half dollar, minted in Denver, represents a classic era of United States silver coinage. Struck with a composition of 90 percent silver, this fifty-cent piece contains 0.3575 troy ounces of precious metal. It survives today in a well-preserved Very Fine state, showing clear details of the original artistry that circulated through the hands of early twentieth-century Americans. Designed by Charles Barber, the obverse of the coin presents a dignified profile of Lady Liberty. She wears a traditional Phrygian cap paired with a laurel wreath, symbols of freedom and victory. The motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" arches above her head, while the year 1907 is anchored at the bottom. On the reverse, a powerful heraldic eagle stretches its wings wide. A protective shield covers the eagle's chest, and its beak holds a ribbon inscribed with the Latin motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM". In its talons, the eagle grasps both an olive branch and a bundle of arrows, representing a balance of peace and readiness. The Denver mint mark, a distinct "D", is located below the eagle, marking its origin at the Colorado minting facility.
