0.3575 troy oz .900 1907 Very Good

Struck at the Denver Mint in 1907, this silver half dollar represents a classic era of United States coinage. The coin is composed of 90 percent silver, containing 0.3575 troy ounces of the precious metal. This piece survives in Very Good condition, showing the honest wear of a coin that circulated during the early twentieth century. Designed by Charles Barber, the obverse of the coin presents a stoic portrait of Lady Liberty. She wears a traditional Phrygian cap and a laurel wreath, with the word LIBERTY visible on her headband. The motto IN GOD WE TRUST arching above and the year 1907 below frame this iconic profile. The reverse side features a powerful heraldic eagle with outstretched wings, bearing a protective shield across its chest. In its beak, the eagle holds a banner inscribed with E PLURIBUS UNUM. Its talons grasp both an olive branch of peace and a cluster of arrows, symbolizing strength. The Denver mint mark, a small D, is located beneath the eagle, marking its origin at the mile-high mint facility.
