The 1907 silver quarter from the San Francisco Mint represents a classic era of United States coinage. Struck in 90 percent pure silver, this piece carries a weight of 0.17875 troy ounces of precious metal. Having circulated through early twentieth-century commerce, this specimen survives in Fine condition, showing honest wear while preserving the core elements of its historic design. Created by Charles Barber, the obverse of the coin presents a dignified profile of Lady Liberty. She wears a traditional Phrygian cap adorned with a laurel wreath, with the word LIBERTY clearly visible on her headband. The date 1907 is positioned beneath her portrait, flanked by stars along the border. The reverse displays a highly detailed heraldic eagle with its wings spread wide. A protective shield is positioned across the eagle's chest, while its talons grasp an olive branch of peace and a cluster of arrows. In its beak, the eagle holds a ribbon displaying the traditional motto. The inscriptions identify the issuing nation as the United States of America and state the denomination as one quarter dollar, with the distinctive S mint mark of the San Francisco facility located at the bottom.
