The year 1907 saw the production of a classic silver quarter at the San Francisco Mint, carrying a design that defined an era of American coinage. Crafted from 90 percent silver, this twenty-five cent piece contains approximately 0.17875 troy ounces of precious metal. Having circulated through daily commerce, this coin survives in Good condition, showing the honest wear of its journey through time. Designed by Charles Barber, the obverse of the coin presents a profile of Lady Liberty. She wears a traditional Phrygian cap paired with a laurel wreath, a classic symbol of freedom and victory. The reverse features a heraldic eagle with its wings spread wide, protecting a shield on its chest. In its beak, the eagle holds a decorative banner, while its talons grasp an olive branch and a bundle of arrows, representing the dual ideals of peace and strength.
