Struck at the Denver Mint in 1908, this ten-cent piece represents a classic era of United States coinage. Crafted from 90 percent silver, it contains approximately 0.0715 troy ounces of precious metal. This specimen survives in Fine condition, showing the honest wear of a coin that circulated actively in the early twentieth century. The obverse features a profile of Lady Liberty, who wears a traditional Phrygian cap adorned with a laurel wreath. Surrounding her portrait are the words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, with the year 1908 positioned at the bottom. On the reverse, a detailed wreath encircles the face value of the coin, which is spelled out as ONE DIME. Beneath the wreath, the letter D indicates its origin at the Denver minting facility. Designed by Charles Barber, this silver dime offers a tangible look at the artistry of America's turn-of-the-century circulating currency.
