The 1909 silver quarter, struck at the Denver Mint, represents a classic era of United States coinage. Crafted with a silver purity of 90 percent, this coin contains 0.17875 troy ounces of precious metal. It circulates as a tangible artifact of early twentieth-century design, preserved in a detailed Very Fine condition. Created by Charles Barber, the obverse features a profile of Lady Liberty. She is depicted wearing a laurel wreath over a Phrygian cap, with a headband displaying the inscription of her name. This side also bears the year of production, 1909, along with the national motto emphasizing trust. The reverse showcases a powerful heraldic eagle with its wings spread wide, protecting a shield on its chest. In its beak, the eagle holds a ribbon bearing a traditional patriotic motto. Its talons grasp both a symbol of peace, an olive branch, and a symbol of defense, represented by a group of arrows. The Denver mint mark, a small letter D, is located on this side to indicate its origin.
