The 1909-O Barber Dime represents a fascinating moment in American numismatic history, originating from the New Orleans Mint during its final year of coin production. Struck in 90 percent silver, this ten-cent piece contains 0.0715 troy ounces of precious metal. Despite its heavily circulated Almost Good condition, the coin retains the essential elements of its classic turn-of-the-century aesthetic. Designed by Charles Barber, the obverse of the coin displays the profile of Lady Liberty. She is depicted wearing a traditional Phrygian cap adorned with a laurel wreath.
