The 1910 Barber half dollar represents a classic era of United States silver coinage. Minted in Philadelphia, this fifty-cent piece contains 0.3575 troy ounces of 90 percent pure silver. Designed by Charles Barber, the coin features a portrait of Lady Liberty on the obverse, adorned with a laurel wreath and a Phrygian cap. On this specific example, which is in Almost Good condition, the passage of time and heavy circulation have worn down the details and rims on both sides, making the word Liberty on her headpiece no longer visible. The reverse side displays a heraldic eagle with its wings spread wide, protecting a shield on its chest. In its beak, the eagle holds a banner, while its talons grasp an olive branch and a cluster of arrows, symbolizing both peace and readiness.
