The 1910 Barber Quarter represents a fascinating era of United States coinage, minted in Philadelphia with a composition of 90 percent silver. This twenty-five cent piece contains approximately 0.17875 troy ounces of precious metal, surviving today in an Almost Good state of preservation that shows the honest wear of over a century in circulation. Designed by Charles Barber, the coin features a classic obverse portrait of Lady Liberty. She is depicted facing right, adorned with a traditional laurel wreath and a Phrygian cap. Above her head, the national motto of faith is inscribed, while the year 1910 is stamped clearly below her portrait. The reverse of the coin presents a heraldic eagle with its wings spread wide. A protective shield covers the bird's chest, while its talons grasp a bundle of arrows and a peaceful olive branch. In its beak, the eagle holds a decorative banner, all framed by the identifying country name and the denomination of the coin.
