1910-D Barber Quarter Fine
Struck at the Denver Mint in 1910, this silver quarter dollar represents a classic era of American coinage. Composed of 90 percent silver, the coin contains 0.17875 troy ounces of precious metal. It survives today in Fine condition, showing the honest wear of a coin that circulated during the early twentieth century. Created by Charles Barber, the coin features a dignified profile of Lady Liberty on its obverse. She is depicted wearing a laurel wreath over a Phrygian cap, a traditional symbol of freedom. The motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" is inscribed above her portrait, with the year 1910 anchored at the bottom. The reverse displays a heraldic eagle with its wings spread wide. A protective shield rests upon its chest, and the bird holds a banner in its beak. In its talons, the eagle grasps both an olive branch and a bundle of arrows, representing peace and readiness. The mint mark "D" is positioned below the eagle, identifying its origin at the Denver facility.
