0.1788 troy oz .900 1910 Very Good

Struck in the year 1910 at the Denver Mint, this twenty-five cent piece represents a classic era of United States coinage. Composed of 90 percent silver, the coin contains approximately 0.17875 troy ounces of precious metal. It survives today in Very Good condition, showing the honest wear of a coin that circulated actively during the early twentieth century. The coin features the artistic work of Charles Barber. On the obverse side, a dignified profile of Lady Liberty faces right, her hair adorned with both a laurel wreath and a traditional Phrygian cap. Above her head, the national motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" is inscribed, while the year 1910 is anchored at the bottom. The reverse side presents a heraldic eagle with its wings spread wide, protecting a shield across its chest. In its beak, the eagle holds a ribbon banner, while its talons grasp an olive branch of peace and a bundle of arrows. The Denver mintmark, a small "D", is located below the eagle, identifying its origin at the Colorado facility.
