The 1910 half dollar from the San Francisco Mint represents a classic era of United States silver coinage. Struck with a metal purity of 90 percent silver, this fifty-cent piece contains 0.3575 troy ounces of precious metal. Having circulated through early twentieth-century commerce, this specimen survives in Fine condition, preserving the essential details of its historic imagery. Created by Charles Barber, the obverse of the coin presents a dignified profile of Lady Liberty. She wears a laurel wreath atop her head, layered over a traditional Phrygian cap. The word Liberty is clearly legible on her headband, accompanied by the national motto, In God We Trust, positioned above her image, and the 1910 year of manufacture below. The reverse side showcases a powerful heraldic eagle with its wings fully spread, protecting a shield positioned against its chest. In its beak, the eagle supports a ribbon, while its talons grasp both a peaceful olive branch and a bundle of arrows. The design is framed by the issuing nation and the face value, reading United States of America and Half Dollar.
