The 1910 half dollar from the San Francisco Mint offers a tangible look at early twentieth-century American coinage. Struck in 90% silver, this fifty-cent piece carries the unmistakable design work of Charles Barber. Over a century of circulation has softened its features, leaving the coin with a heavily worn appearance where the details and outer rims have smoothed down, yet its historic character remains unmistakable. The front of the coin displays a profile of Lady Liberty, who wears a laurel wreath atop her head along with a traditional Phrygian cap. Above her image, the national motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" is inscribed. On the reverse side, a heraldic eagle stretches its wings, protecting a shield on its chest.
