0.1788 troy oz .900 1911 Very Good

The 1911 silver quarter from the San Francisco Mint represents a classic era of United States coinage. Struck with a purity of 90 percent silver, this twenty-five cent piece contains approximately 0.1788 troy ounces of precious metal. This particular specimen is preserved in Very Good condition, showing the honest wear of a coin that circulated during the early twentieth century. Designed by Charles Barber, the obverse of the coin presents a dignified profile of Lady Liberty. She wears a traditional Phrygian cap adorned with a laurel wreath, surrounded by the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the 1911 year of issue. The reverse side features a heraldic eagle with its wings spread wide, protecting a shield on its chest. In its beak, the eagle holds a ribbon inscribed with "E PLURIBUS UNUM", while its talons grasp both an olive branch of peace and a collection of arrows. The design is framed by the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "QUARTER DOLLAR".
