0.0715 troy oz .900 1912 Almost Unc

The 1912 Barber dime represents a classic era of United States silver coinage. Struck in 90% fine silver at the Philadelphia Mint, this ten-cent piece contains 0.0715 troy ounces of precious metal. It survives today in an impressive Almost Uncirculated condition, preserving the intricate details of a design that circulated widely during the early twentieth century. On the obverse, the profile of Lady Liberty faces right, adorned with a traditional Phrygian cap and a laurel wreath resting upon her brow. The year 1912 is clearly visible below her portrait, while the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA arches around the border. This imagery, conceived by Charles Barber, presents a dignified and classical representation of American liberty. The reverse of the coin focuses on simplicity and natural elegance. A detailed agricultural wreath wraps around the center of the field, framing the denomination written as ONE DIME. The absence of a mint mark on this specimen indicates its origin at the main United States Mint facility in Philadelphia.
