The 1912 half dollar represents a classic era of United States silver coinage. Minted in Philadelphia, this fifty-cent piece is composed of 90% silver, containing 0.3575 troy ounces of the precious metal. It carries a grade of Very Good, showing the honest wear of a coin that circulated actively during the early twentieth century. Designed by Charles Barber, the obverse of the coin presents a dignified profile of Lady Liberty. She wears a traditional Phrygian cap adorned with a laurel wreath, with the word Liberty clearly visible on her headband. The motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" arches above her portrait, while the year 1912 is stamped below. The reverse side features a powerful heraldic eagle with its wings fully spread. A protective shield is positioned across the eagle's chest, and its beak firmly holds a ribbon inscribed with "E PLURIBUS UNUM". In its talons, the eagle grasps both an olive branch representing peace and a cluster of arrows symbolizing strength. The surrounding inscription reads "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "HALF DOLLAR".
