0.1788 troy oz .900 1912 Almost Unc

In 1912, the Philadelphia Mint produced a silver quarter dollar that showcases the classic artistry of the era. This coin, struck in 0.900 fine silver with a precious metal weight of 0.17875 troy ounces, has survived in Almost Uncirculated condition, preserving the crisp details of its original engraving. The obverse presents a profile of Lady Liberty. She wears a laurel wreath atop her head, which is also adorned with a Phrygian cap. The word LIBERTY is visible on her band, while the motto IN GOD WE TRUST is inscribed above her, flanked by stars, with the year 1912 anchored at the bottom. On the reverse, a powerful heraldic eagle dominates the design. The bird holds its wings wide, protecting a shield on its breast. In its beak, it clasps a ribbon bearing the motto E PLURIBUS UNUM. The eagle grips an olive branch and a bundle of arrows in its talons, symbolizing both peace and defense. The legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the denomination QUARTER DOLLAR frame this classic turn of the century composition.
