Struck at the Denver Mint, this 1912 half dollar represents a bygone era of American silver coinage. The coin is composed of 90 percent silver, containing approximately 0.3575 troy ounces of the precious metal. As a piece that circulated heavily, it exhibits the characteristic wear of a coin graded Good, where the details have softened and the outer rim may show slight wear from its time in commerce. Designed by Charles Barber, the obverse of the coin displays the profile of Lady Liberty. She is depicted wearing a traditional laurel wreath over a Phrygian cap, with the year 1912 visible below her portrait. The motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" is inscribed above her. The reverse side showcases a heraldic eagle with its wings spread wide, protecting a shield on its chest. In its beak, the eagle holds a banner, while its claws grasp an olive branch and a cluster of arrows, symbolizing peace and readiness.
