The 1913 Barber half dollar represents a classic era of United States silver coinage. Minted in Philadelphia, this fifty-cent piece is composed of 90 percent silver, containing 0.3575 troy ounces of the precious metal. This particular coin survives in Almost Good condition, showing the heavy wear and honest circulation of a coin that actively passed through the hands of early twentieth-century Americans. Designed by Charles Barber, the obverse of the coin features a dignified profile of Lady Liberty.
