Struck at the Denver Mint in 1913, this silver quarter dollar represents a classic era of United States coinage. Composed of 90 percent silver, which equates to approximately 0.17875 troy ounces of precious metal, the coin carries the physical wear of more than a century of circulation, graded in Almost Good condition. The obverse displays Charles Barber's depiction of Lady Liberty facing right. She wears a traditional Phrygian cap underneath a classical laurel wreath. The date 1913 is visible at the bottom of the design, beneath her portrait. On the reverse, a heraldic eagle dominates the field with its wings spread wide. A protective shield covers the bird's chest, while its talons grasp an olive branch of peace and a cluster of arrows symbolizing strength. In its beak, the eagle holds a banner, completing a powerful national motif that defined early twentieth-century pocket change.
