The 1913-D Barber Quarter represents a fascinating era in United States coinage. Struck at the Denver Mint, this twenty-five cent piece is composed of 90 percent silver, containing approximately 0.17875 troy ounces of the precious metal. It is preserved in Fine condition, showcasing the enduring details of a design that circulated widely during the early twentieth century. On the obverse, the coin displays the profile of Lady Liberty. She is depicted wearing a classic Phrygian cap and a laurel wreath, surrounded by the national motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the 1913 year of issue. This iconic portrait was created by Charles Barber, whose work defined the look of American silver coinage at the turn of the century. The reverse features a heraldic eagle with outstretched wings. A protective shield is positioned at its chest, while the bird holds a banner in its beak inscribed with "E PLURIBUS UNUM".
