Struck at the Denver Mint in 1914, this silver quarter dollar represents a classic era of United States coinage. Crafted from 90 percent silver, the coin contains approximately 0.17875 troy ounces of precious metal. It survives today in Fine condition, showing the honest wear of a coin that circulated actively in the early twentieth century. Designed by Charles Barber, the obverse displays a proud profile of Lady Liberty. She wears a traditional Phrygian cap paired with a laurel wreath, a combination of classical symbols. Above her head, the national motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" is clearly visible, with the year 1914 anchored at the bottom. The reverse features a detailed heraldic eagle with wings fully spread. A protective shield rests across the eagle's chest, while its talons grasp both an olive branch and a group of arrows, symbolizing peace and readiness. In its beak, the eagle holds a ribbon bearing the historic motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM".
