The 1915 Barber half dollar represents a classic era of United States silver coinage. Struck in 90 percent silver, this fifty cent piece contains 0.3575 troy ounces of precious metal. It is a notable issue from the series, with a total mintage of only 138,000 pieces produced at the Philadelphia Mint. Designed by Charles Barber, the coin's obverse showcases Lady Liberty facing right, adorned with a laurel wreath and a Phrygian cap. The motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" is inscribed above her, with the year 1915 positioned at the bottom. This particular specimen is preserved in Fine condition, showing honest wear from its time in circulation while retaining the core elements of its historic design. The reverse displays a traditional heraldic eagle with outstretched wings. A protective shield rests upon the eagle's chest, while its talons grasp an olive branch and a bundle of arrows. In its beak, the eagle holds a banner inscribed with "E PLURIBUS UNUM". The legend "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" arches over the top of the design, and the denomination "HALF DOLLAR" is written along the bottom rim.
