The year 1915 marked the penultimate year of a classic American silver coinage series, and this half dollar minted in Denver stands as a remarkably preserved survivor from that era. Struck in 90% silver, the coin contains approximately 0.3617 ounces of precious metal. Its current Extra Fine state of preservation allows observers to appreciate the fine details of a design that circulated heavily during the early twentieth century. On the obverse, the profile of Lady Liberty faces right, adorned with a laurel wreath and a Phrygian cap, a traditional symbol of freedom. The motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" is inscribed above her head, while the year 1915 is positioned at the bottom. This side showcases the balanced, classical style that defined United States coinage at the turn of the century. The reverse features a heraldic eagle with outstretched wings, bearing a shield across its chest. In its beak, the eagle holds a ribbon inscribed with "E PLURIBUS UNUM". Its talons grasp an olive branch and a bundle of arrows, representing peace and readiness. The Denver Mint's "D" mint mark is located at the bottom, just below the eagle and above the denomination "HALF DOLLAR".
